Basic Western Riding:

Our lesson program starts with basic western riding. Learn neck reining, use of legs and balance to ride with your horse, as a team. Our lessons will get you ready for team penning and working cattle. Feeling your horse and letting him work for you and with you for eventing. First timers and "timid" riders welcome. Our lesson horses are quiet and solid! All of our lesson horses know their jobs and know how to neck rein and work cattle. Whether you want to get into working cows or just want light hands and a solid seat, this is a good place to start!

Individual lessons: $35/hour. This includes tacking and untacking, plus basic horsemanship. Ride time varies from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on abilities. As abilities increase, time and focus is spent on turning and balance on turning, as well as speed. Learn how to bend, roll and turn with the horse, and how to sit a fast stop and quick turn!
